Needle Rock Kitchen & Tap
Needle Rock Kitchen & Tap perfectly marries good food and good times. The centerpiece is a woodfired grill where meals are prepared above a natural flame. Favorites include charcuterie plates, pizza perfect for sharing, our signature slow-cooked prime rib, a wood-fired, salted caramel dessert, and seasonal dishes introducing flavors from throughout the region. If you're wondering about the inspiration behind the name, venture down to the Verde River and you'll find Needle Rock Park, an amazing place to see the color changes of the sunsets against the mountains. Integrated into the dining space is a comfortable, socially-driven bar area providing a great choice if you want a more casual meal along with your favorite cocktail, craft beer, or wine. Members and guests will particularly enjoy our local beer on tap – the cleverly coined Tap17 - inspired by the 16 original liquor licenses issued in the Valley of the Sun.
The Market Place
The Market Place is the perfect combination of coffee bar, sandwich shop, and neighborhood grocer. Stocked with a blend of locally-produced specialty items and everyday staples, this indoor/outdoor experience located in the Club's center courtyard is the rendezvous point of choice. It's also your go-to for unique gifts from local purveyors.
Eddy's Poolside, working as a complement to offerings inside the Club, is a great option when lounging at the Resort Pool or taking a break before, during, or after golf. Eddy's serves up a relaxed menu with meals best accompanied by our signature drink, the Cottonwood Cooler. Be sure to order some of the famous Sloppy Tots, a Member favorite.

Helen Scott arrived with her husband Winfield in 1888 as the first modern settlers of "Orangedale." The name didn't stick, but Helen and Winfield did, and in 1894 the town was renamed Scottsdale after its founders. Helen Scott was known for her love of teaching and providing comforting meals for family and friends, and it's only fitting our private kitchen is named in her honor. From cooking demonstrations and classes to viewing parties for your favorite programs or sporting events, Helen's Kitchen is an ideal, private space to relax among friends. Whether you choose to cook for yourself or simply sit back and let our culinary team do the heavy lifting, Helen's Kitchen is the kitchen we all wish we had at home.

The Golf Course at Verde River Golf & Social Club offers a modern approach to a classic desert-style design situated in some of the richest Sonoran Desert in the Valley. Originally crafted by noted "architect's architect" Ken Kavanaugh, the course burst onto the Valley's golf scene in 2007 to rave reviews. Experts and guests alike championed its strategic design and the sheer beauty of the view corridors across the Verde River and out to the Tonto National Forest and ultimately the iconic Four Peaks. Recently, the course has undergone a number of renovations under the direction of local resident and PGA® Tour legend Tom Lehman, with the intent to make it more suitable as a private club. The result is a course which has quickly become a favorite among those in the know. Rave reviews abound from every major golf publication in the country, proof that many things do, in fact, get even better with age.
Courts & Sports Complex
The Courts & Sports Complex includes four tennis courts (one stadium), four Pickleball courts, bocce ball and a croquet lawn. Enjoy a tennis match or a lively game of Pickleball. As one of the fastest growing sports in the country, Pickleball challenges players athletically without requiring the stop-and-start running of tennis, racquetball or squash.

The Lap Pool is home to not just lap swimmers but also a variety of water-based aerobic classes. The Golf Course
For a decade, Verde River Golf & Social Club has been one of Arizona's best-kept golf secrets. And now, under the guidance of PGA Tour legend and Scottsdale resident Tom Lehman, the course has undergone an extensive redesign project that protected what was loved about the layout, while enhancing the overall experience for Members and guests.
Crafted by noted "architect's architect" Ken Kavanaugh, the course burst onto the Valley's golf scene in 2007 to rave reviews. Experts and guests alike championed its strategic design and the sheer beauty of the view corridors across the Verde River and out to the Tonto National Forest and ultimately the iconic Four Peaks. In 2016, under the watchful eye of PGA Tour legend Tom Lehman, an already award winning 18-hole layout was transformed into a design more suitable as a private course through changes both large and small. As the course transitions from daily fee to private, the requirements for a practice facility increase vastly. The reenvisioned facility features a larger putting green, larger chipping/pitching area, larger tee deck to hit more target greens, and space dedicated to professional instruction. We have dubbed the first six holes of the golf course the "Peaks Loop." Featuring a diverse test of 3 par 4's, 2 par 3's, and a single par 5, the Peaks Loop is an hour-long escape or the perfect conclusion to an afternoon practice session.
